Another Exciting 450th Event
Romanza is a series of events beginning in March. In Spanish “Romanza” is a love song or a chorus of voices celebrating Saint Augustine’s cultural heritage and natural beauty. In Italian the word represents a love affair. Here in Saint Augustine the the word is meant to represent the love of the oldest city in our nation and stands for a series of events coming this year that you won’t want to miss! It is a collection of unforgettable experiences in music, dance, art, theater, and cuisine amidst a unique historical setting.
Upcoming Romanza events include a Saint Patrick’s Day parade on March the 10th and the Saint Augustine Celtic Arts Festival on March the 10th and 11th
An entire week of Romanza in May is a celebration in our magnificent city right in the heart of downtown. It will be recognized as an annual signature event for Saint Augustine’s anniversary years leading up to the 450th commemoration in 2015.
These are events you won’t want to miss! Saint Augustine features a wide selection of historic inns all centrally located just steps away from the excitement. Reserve your accommodations in advance for this historic event and enjoy all the unique charm and history Saint Augustine has to offer.
